Notes:
The student should plan elective choices so as to achieve
120 total hours required for graduation. 40 semester hours of 3000 and 4000
level courses required for graduation.
All students must show the FAA certificates to the department so that appropriate entries can be made on
the computer CAPP report.
The FAA Commercial / Instrument certificate should be obtained by the beginning of the 6th semester.
Any Department AES courses can be used as AES electives
EXCEPT flight courses.
Students entering the department already
possessing FAA Certificates after consultation with an advisor may substitute
other AES courses for those courses associated with the FAA Certificates. For
instance, consider a student already possessing a Commercial/instrument license:
He would meet with an advisor to select 12
semester hours worth of AES courses that would substitute for the required
courses, AES 1100 & 1800. Neither would he need to take the simulator courses associated with
those ratings, i.e. AES1710 & 2710. This requires 6 more credit hours of AES
courses to make substitution for.
