Level I List
General Studies
Level II List -
The student in this department has choices in History and Arts & Letters
which MUST come from this list.
On this list, note the "MC" next to certain classes. This
stands
for "multi-cultural" and the student is advised to select one of their Arts
and Letters or History approved electives with the "MC"
designation, else they must take an additional general Studies course to
satisfy the multi-cultural requirement. |

Math 1110 is college algebra. We
encourage you to take Math 1410 which is Calculus.
It is extremely important for the student to take the math course in the
first semester so that he/she will be allowed to take the Physics
Course the following semester. Not doing so will lead to delays
in being able to enroll in aerospace courses for which math and physics
are prerequisites and ultimately a delay in graduation.
As with math, a higher level
physics course is encouraged if the student can qualify.
Should the student chose a Business Minor,
the Economics courses we require in this department will already have been
completed.

Notes:
* Math Evaluation for incoming students:
Cut Score: 17 - minimum for these courses
Boundary Score: 14 to 16; Referral: 0 to 13
**
multicultural requirements can be fulfilled in the Arts & Letters
or History categories
- remember also that the General Studies
courses must be selected from the "approved list"
ENG 1010 & MTH 1110 to be completed in first 30 semester hours
at the very latest. ENG 1020 within 60 semester hours. |
