Apply as if you were trying to interview for employment with an airline.

Who is eligible?
Any METRO student with a declared Aviation Technology Major with Junior or Senior status, and a minimum 3.0 GPA.

What is UAL looking for?

3. Extra curricular activities such as Flight Team, CAP, Angel Flight, etc.
4. Taking our Flight Engineer courses - this will also allow you to make the most of your time when exercising your benefit to use the UAL simulators or fly the jump seat after winning the internship.

Put emphasis on what you can do for UAL and not what UAL can do for you. Think about long range goals should you some day be employed by United Airlines.
2. A Resume' that includes a break down of your flight hours. Here is where the Certificates, Ratings, and extra curricular activities will stand out.
3. At least 4 letters of recommendation. Letters from people who have been your employers, have flown with you and have known you for a long period and can vouch for your character are preferred. Always ask for more than required in case one or two don't come through for you. If they require 3, use the best three.
4. Include photocopies of pilot certificates, medical, and the last page of log book with totals.
